Baby Massage Classes 

The health benefits of massage for babies and their carers are numerous. It increases lung capacity, improves the skin, and is wonderful for calming fractious, tired or hyperactive children. Regular massage of the babies' abdomen improves constipation, diarrhoea,  or nausea.  

Other benefits include

5. Strengthens the immune system

6. Increases Babies' weight gain

7. Releases endorphins (natures' own painkillers)

8. Increases suppleness of joints

Benefits for the carer include;

2. Enhances secretion of prolactin (particularly good for breastfeeding Mums)

3. Improves parent caring

4. Helps to dispel fear of new babies.

5. Social interaction - meeting new friends

My baby massage course is relaxed and informal - the objective is for Mums' and babies to enjoy learning a basic massage routine, have fun and meet new friends. I will include information on the safe use of essential oils for babies and the hour will include refreshments and a question and answer session.

Mums and babies who are not registered with the practice are welcome, as are older children (within reason) - who are encourages to join in.....

The course runs over 2 weeks, and I provide a 50ml bottle of prepared organic aromatherapy baby massage oil for you to practice at home.

What to bring:

1. Changing mat

2. Soft bath Towel + small blanket

3. Changing bag (just in case!)

4. Feeds/bottles as required

 Days/Time:  Variable - I offer a choice of days/times in order to limit class sizes to a maximum of 4 mums and babies at any time - this means I can give more individual attention to Mums and teach the routine over 2 weeks. 

Cost:  £20.00 for the course payable via my online shop - Includes 50ml cold-pressed organic baby massage oil and full instruction booklet to take home.

One to one private tuition is also available in a single 2 hour lesson at the same price of £20.00 to include 50ml organic baby massage oil and instruction file. 

Venue: Overseal surgery - new extension to the rear of the building.
