Many hospices and cancer care centres accross the country use the services of Clinical Aromatherapists  as a support service to orthodox medicine.

I have undertaken additional training in Aromatherapy & Cancer Care, and can offer a range of gentle treatments for cancer patients and their families. The aim is not to treat the cancer, but to treat the patient and try to help with the side effects of their illness. Aromatherapy treatments can help in the following ways:-

* Provides relaxation

* Eases anxiety

* Reduces muscle tension

* Improves well-being

* Helps skin problems

* Aids sleep

* Reduces symptoms of pain , nausea,  Congestion, Skin itching/irritation

* Improves quality of life

I consider Clinical Aromatherapy to be a "Complementary Therapy" not an "Alternative Therapy", and out of courtesy would ask for your permission to write to  your GP or Consultant to confirm that they are happy for you to receive treatments.   

Treatments can be enjoyed in my therapy room at Overseal Surgery, or if necessary I can visit your home - although this may limit the range of treatments I can offer.

As an experienced nurse, I am happy to give Aromatherapy treatments during any stage of a Cancer diagnosis, including during the terminal care phase.
