Traditional facial "Marma point" massage taken from the world's oldest holistic health care system - Ayurveda

The word "Ayurveda" comes fromancient Sanskrit and means

 AYUR -Life    VEDA - Science

Ayurveda is a comprehensive system of health originating in India over 5000 years ago, and is an ancient philosophy based upon a deep understanding of body, mind and spirit. Ayurveda aims to prevent disease, and promote positive health, beauty and long life.

Herbs are very important in Ayurvedic treatment, and are incorporated into carefully blended massage oils known for their ability to balance mind and body.

"Marma" points are otherwise known as Ayurvedic Acupuncture points and are thought to stimulate the pranic flow (life force) and balance the doshas (body types). They are subtle energy points similar to those used in acupuncture and reflexology and by stimulating these points, the body can balance its' vital energy and maintain optimum health.

37 of the 107  major Marma points are located in the head, shoulder, head, face and upper chest area, and massaging these points is said to enhance the awareness of pure consciousness in the body.
